Indoor lodging
Private and shared rooms. Also available are glamping buses and tiny homes. Access to shared bathrooms and community kitchen comes with all of our accommodations.
Meadow Camping
Meadow camping with beautiful views. Includes access to community building, showers, and bathrooms. This option can accommodate large groups.
Tent Platforms
12x12 elevated wood platforms. Secluded in our forest garden with ample tree cover. Includes access to community building, showers, and kitchen.
The Details:
Check-in is between 5 and 9:00 p.m. Check-in at the main house #218 Streeter Woods Road - if you arrive after 9 pm please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements. We highly discourage late-night arrivals at our remote location.
Quiet hours after 10 pm please!
No sewer hookups. Secluded spots for vehicles require high clearance and dry conditions.
The Hummingbird Center is located in Dorchester, NH at the former site of D’Acres Organic Farm and Homestead and we continue to maintain this land primarily as such, an organic permaculture farm. Visit us in any season and join The Hummingbird Center community for camping, recreation, and unparalleled access to the White Mountain National Forest, and all that New Hampshire has to offer. This is a great location for anyone interested in rock climbing, mountain biking, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, hiking, or just getting away from it all.
Our grounds abut Green Woodlands, an extensive network of mountain bike and cross-country trails with a wide variety of trail difficulties for the whole family.
Car Camping
Private sites able to accommodate cars and mid-sized RVs. Includes access to community building, showers, and kitchen.
No hookups available.
*We generate our hot water from wood fire which is labor intensive, because of this we ask small fee to use our indoor showers.
*We welcome well behaved leashed dogs to our farm. We ask that they are cleaned up after, leashed and kept outside of our main community building. We have an additional 10$ fee for your pet per stay. We appreciate your cooperation.
